CLASSIC CRUISE ALONG THE RIVER IRRAWADDY

Pandaw Cruises

The Pandaw Concept, as it became known, offered a new travel experience quite unlike other forms of travel: combining an expedition atmosphere with an elegant base afloat. But what made the Pandaw style unique was the ability of these shallow draft ships to penetrate and explore remote areas of the country and enable real cultural exchange between the traveler and the inhabitants of the great river valleys of Myanmar.

A journey on Burma's Irrawaddy River is one of life's great travel experiences. No vessel could be more appropriate for this than a ship of the Pandaw fleet.

The Road to Mandalay

The Road to Mandalay is the most luxurious craft of its kind on the Ayeyarwady River. All 66 cabins aboard the river cruiser are beautifully appointed with air-conditioning, ensuite bathrooms and facilities that guarantee your comfort and add to your pleasure. Besides the 28 superior cabins the ship features 38 more spacious State cabins. Twenty-four hour room service is available. The cruiser has a small on-deck swimming pool and a magnificent canopied observation deck where you can sit in the shade as you take in the sights. It is also a delightful retreat in the cool of the evening.

A journey along the Ayeyarwady River is a voyage of a lifetime. From this mighty river, which runs the length of the country, treasures can be admired which have for so long been hidden from the world’s gaze.

Amara River Cruise

The Amara River Cruise is a traditional Myanmar riverboat traveling along the Ayarwady and Chindwin River. It measures 30 meters / 100 feet in length by 8 meters / 24 feet in width. With a shallow draft of 1 meter/ 3 feet and two Hino engines. It can go as far north as Bamo all year round.
