The Location of the "Honey Moon Villa" site
was chosen after much thought and consideration with our guest's
comfort in mind.
Positioned on a beautiful hillside the Villa is surrounded by native pine
trees. These lovely pines produce an aromatic fresh fragrance, which adds
to the well-design and enjoyment of the guests.
It is a beautiful and modern dwelling that complements the tranquil
atmosphere of the mountain region.
Kalaw is one of the famous hill towns of Shan State and is inhabited by
only a few thousand people, originationg from the various ethnic groups of
Myanmar. Native belles wear colourful, locally - woven national cosutumes.
The British government, during the colonial period , created Kalaw as a
summer resort hill station. By visting Kalaw you can feel the atmosphere
of past colonial times.
One of the most interesting places in Kalaw is "Cool Water Lake".The
water of this lake has been tested scientifically in England and the
results have shown that it is very rare natural spring water that could be
vigorously helpful to human health and longivity. The entire water supply
system is based upon this "Cool Water Lake". So why not come to
Kalaw and take a "once in a life time" opportunity to try this
wonderful and priceless medicinal spring water for you and your family.
5 Day Market
This is a must
for tourists. Every 5 days all the hill tribe people come down from hte
mountains to buy and sell their goods, such s many different hand - made
items. The market place is alive with activity and the hill tribe people
wear their colourful, uniquely woven national costumes decorated with
artistically designed jewellery.
It is a wonderful sight to experience and is one of the highlights of the
week.
