Kalaw
Kalaw is situated 70 km
west of Taunggyi; the capital of Shan state
and about 50 km from Pindaya caves. Kalaw
sits high on the western edge of the Shan
Plateau and was a popular hill station in

of colonial era.

Kyaikhtiyo is 160 km
drive from Yangon with about 10 km trek
uphill along a meandering trail from the

Inle
Lake
Inle lake lies about 30km
south of Taunggyi. This vast picturesque
lake with its mesmerizing beauty is situated
1328 meters above sea level and surrounded
by hazy blue mountains. It is best known for
its floating villages and gardens on
floating islands. Inle lake has a fabulous
backdrop of hills with the floating gardens
grow flowers, vegetables and fruits.

archaeological site as attraction is

Tachileik
A short flight to
Tachileik will be the beginning of a tour of
the infamous Golden Triangle. Tachileik sits
on the banks of the Mekong River across from
Mai Sai in Thailand. It is a cross border
town. A one-and-half hour away from
